Whether it's swimming during the warmer months or grilling whenever the weather allows, residents of Southlake Plantation can enjoy the beautiful community pool year-round: the attached, smaller kids' pool waterfalls into the main pool for a spa-like feel.
A covered pavilion with chairs and tables provides a shady respite for picnics, while a raised deck and supplied lounge chairs and chases' offer the perfect place to tan, read a book, or nap. A community charcoal-powered grill is available on a first-come, first-used basis for those who wish to grill. Separate men's and ladies' bathrooms are on-site, allowing for privacy and security when nature calls for change. An outside shower for washing off before and after swimming is also available.
Southlake Plantation residents may reserve the pool area for a private party on Tuesday through Thursday evenings between 5 PM and 9 PM for a small rental fee of $100.
Resident Volunteers sign up for Pool Duty, which is performed in weekly shifts year-round, to keep this jewel of an amenity clean and looking sharp.
There is never a Lifeguard on Duty. Residents and their guests use this amenity at their own risk. Pool Area Rules must be followed. Those who do not are subject to losing this or any community area, and depending on the HOA Board of Directors' ruling, they may lose that privilege for up to a year.
Our lake is stocked with all sorts of fish! From bass, to catfish, and even Georgia giants, our lake is stocked full of fish. If you live on the lake, you can fish directly from your deck or back yard. If you don't live on the lake, you can enter at the common areas or the picnic pavillion and spend the afternoon fishing. We even started an Annual Fishing Tournament! Fishing on the lake is limited to Southlake Plantation residents and guests only.
During the warmer months sit on the bench, watch the ducks, the fountain, or one of our famous sunsets... in the cooler months build a fire, roast some hot dogs, and marshmallows, make smores or just watch the flames dance, listen to the crackle of the flames as they warm your skin. The Fire Pit area is the place to sit and relax and enjoy the sounds of nature or the company of friends. A covered pavilion is available as well.
Fishing is also allowed from the fire pit area, so don't forget to bring your rod and reel.
Stroll around on a Sunday afternoon, bring your fishing pole and a couple of sandwiches, and relax at the Lakeside picnic pavilion. Located at the front of the west side of the lake in front of the neighborhood, the picnic pavilion is a nice place to relax and enjoy the sound of the fountain.
From the back to school bash, to the Easter Egg Hunt and hot chocolate at Christmas, there are always fun events happening all year long in Southlake Plantation!
Beautiful ducks, white cranes, a variety of birds, turtles, there's always natural wildlife in our neighborhood, which really adds to the unique feel of living here.
